Stupid Cat

I called my doctor today and instead of just calling a prescription of antibiotics in for me she wants to see me tomorrow at 9 o'clock. And she wants me to get a tetanus shot. This freaking sucks! I hate that stupid freaking cat!!!

kitty cat

Well the kitty cat and I did not make fast friends. He bit my finger and actually punctured the skin. My finger is really swollen now. I am going to keep an eye on it. At the first sign of infection I am going to go to the doctor. This just really sucks. I just wanted to love him. Its okay though, if it was meant to be it would have worked out. In a couple of months we will look at getting a kitten. Until then we are a one pet family.

Almost done

My blanket is almost done. I have finished all 60 granny squares and now I just have to assemble them. I spent four hours last night weaving in all the ends. I hate weaving in ends it is so tedious. Now that they are finished I hope I have made enough for it to be the size of an average throw blanket. If it still isn't big enough I suppose I will just put a really wide border on it. On another note I get my kitty cat today. We have already named him Sage. I hope he gets along with Chili really well and that they make fast friends.

Rain, Rain

We have been having a drought here in the ol' H Town so I guess I really shouldn't complain about the rain, but really how many days in a row is necessary?

Sigh

So, here I am again... at the computer, using horrible grammar, posting about my oh so very interesting life. I haven't done much lately but fight with the husby. We have decided to not fight about the ceiling fans anymore. The ceiling fan fight is very long and not very interesting so I will spare you the details. To make up he bought me some very lovely red tulips. I love tulips they are my absolute favorite flower. I made it up to him by dressing in a lovely red outfit to get certain ideas flowing if you catch my drift. We moved into our apartment about 6 months ago and we are still unpacking. There always seem to be those last few boxes that never get unpacked. I think I am going to try to tackle a couple of them tonight. I absolutely love older homes, they just have so much more character. Unfortunately, they have very little storage space. There are only two closets in the entire apartment and of course neither one is very big. This obviously causes storage problems. Well I am off to do something more productive than this.

Dreams

So last night the Hubster and I watched some movies and of course I felt very tired but I couldn't sleep so I decided it would be a good idea to take an over the counter slep aide. And as you are probably expecting I slept way too late. I finally woke up a full 15 minutes before I had to leave for work. That was awesome, but not the point. I had a dream that it was Christmas Eve (my mother-in-law's birthday) and the blanket I am making her was still not finished. I haven't worked on it in almost a full week. I'm going to make my sister-in-law a blanket too and I want to make a basket but I have to finish the granny square blanket first. So, now I'm off to work on the mil's blanket.

Weekend Away

Well I have just returned home from a weekend trip home if that makes any sense at all. A friend from work has family in a small town about an hour and a half from where my family is so I hitched a ride with her. Together we drove teh 16 mile round trip to Oklahoma and back. We both brought back family treasures and the Jeep Commander was much fuller on the trip home than we expected. I cannot tell you how extremely happy I am to be home. My lovely dog Chili was so excited to see me I'm surprised she didn't wet her fur. I got to see my grandmother, my Aunt Sheri, my Great-Great-Aunt Billie, both of my brothers, my nephew, and one of my cousins, in other words, it was a mini family reunion. I love my family to death but honestly more than a few days with them and I am ready to get back to my husband and my dog here in Houston. Ashley (my friend I drove with) and I listened to an audio book on the way home, which made the time go by faster. I just wish it made my butt hurt less. I have never been one to like car rides. I just get so tired of sitting. But I am glad to be home so I can relax before I have to go back to work tomorrow. If only there was one more day to the weekend. Thats the bad thing about being a hair dresser, you miss out on holiday weekends.

Autumn

Oh how I wish it were autumn. Right now it is 72 degrees outside. I long for cool mornings and brisk evenings. I love the way the light changes to a delightful golden color. The gorgeous leaves as they change color and prepare for winter. Sigh. Only 20 more days till it is officially fall, too bad it will be longer than that here in Houston.
